Back at the end of the 2010 season, the much loved E60 M5 Ring Taxi was officially retired. Since then, an E90 M3 Ring Taxi has taken over its official duties. This will soon come to an end as the all-new M5 is about to resume its job as the official Ring Taxi for the upcoming season. These pictures, courtesy of Bimmer Post, show the new M5 Ring Taxi for the first time in its official exterior paint job going for a few test laps around the historic track.

According to the source, the super sedan underwent many laps of hard testing in order for it to be fully prepared to take passengers for the ride of their lives. It will be driven by instructors from the BMW Driving Experience Program. Power for the mighty M5 comes courtesy of a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 560hp and 575lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch. With a base price hovering at around $87k, the M5 Ring Taxi may be the only opportunity most of us will ever have to experience the world's best sport sedan.
