The BMW M8 Competition range has been the daddy of the M range since it was released in 2019 and will continue to do so until the hardcore and presumably limited CSL variant is finally released to the market. During this time, tuners from all corners of the world have been digging into the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 to extract as much power as possible, adding to the edge of its already mind-bending performance.

As standard, it delivers 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque to its xDrive system via the eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. In the two-door hardtop configuration, this allows it to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph if you select the optional M Driver's Package.

These are some alarmingly fast figures but that doesn't stop aftermarket firms wanting more. The latest to join this long list of tuners is Wheelsandmore who has taken a slightly more subtle approach to the performance revision. Its new catalog bumps the power up while adding a new set of wheels, springs, and exhaust system for a more comprehensive modification.

Two stages are available for the M8 Competition. The first is a simple modified engine control unit that increases the power figure to 710 hp and 656 lb-ft. If this isn't enough for you, the stage two adds a downpipe with a sports catalytic converter to deliver a whopping 764 hp and 671 lb-ft. Interestingly, Wheelsandmore clarifies that this can only be added to cars produced before 2020. For the sake of a more prominent sound, Wheelsandmore approached Dahler for a unique sports exhaust system that is installed after the center muffler.

If you have a recently built M8, you can select its plug-and-play tuning module which increases output to a respectable 681 hp and 656 lb-ft. The appearance of the M8 remains the same but Wheelsandmore does offer a selection of forged alloys including the Underdock, F.I.W.E, and 6Sporz designs. The first set is available in 20-inches only while the last two can be had in a 20-inch front and 21-inch rear combination.

The tuning firm also offers some suspension upgrades sourced from KW Springs for those who want to enhance the athleticism of the German performance GT. The basic offering is a coil spring pack that lowers the ride by 0.9 inches. An adjustable KW V4 coilover suspension appeals to those wanting more extreme handling characteristics. This can lower the ride by 1.4 inches.
