BMW Presents Performance Accessories for X5 Series

M Performance

BMW has presented us with its decision to spice up its U.S. - spec X5's line-up by releasing some accessories. The accessories are coming from BMW's in-house Performance division and are meant to improve aerodynamics and give the interior a sportier feel. One of the kits that will be available to American customers will be an aero kit. This aero kit includes redesigned bumpers and different side skirts.

The cool part is that this kit has been tested at BMW's Munich wind tunnel, and the results are that the aero parts are claimed to reduce drag and lift, improving stability at high speeds. The aerodynamic package can be fitted to all X5 variants, expect for the M model and those specified with trailer hitches. An added bonus is a set of black "kidney grilles" that are also available. As for the interior, the accessories comprise of aluminum pedal and footrest, alongside a thick-rimmed and racing-inspired steering wheel wrapped in hand-stitched Alcantara.
