BMW Reveals M Performance Parts For Hottest New SUVs

Accessories / Comments

There are always more options to be had.

BMW has officially unveiled its latest range of M Performance Parts for not just one, but four highly popular larger SUVs, the X6, X7, and all-new X5 M and X6 M. These add-ons are done solely to enhance styling and minor performance upgrades.

Starting with the X5 M, X6, and X6 M, BMW has created new hand-built carbon fiber body accessories, all of which are sealed with a clear finish for an enhanced look. For example, there's a carbon fiber kidney grille at the front, a rear diffuser, and side sill inserts. Buyers can also opt to tack on black fins with a high-gloss finish. A roof edge spoiler in high-gloss black is offered solely for the X5 M.

Prefer coupe styling? Then the X6 is for you. BMW is now offering it with a black matte body wrap combined with a gray strip and M Performance branding throughout. For an additional cost, buyers can also opt for the same M Performance brakes found on the high-performance X6 M.

The first-ever X7 can even be had with a high-gloss black inscription at the rear so that everyone behind you in traffic knows you're driving something unique. M Performance carbon fiber exterior mirror caps are also optional. All of these SUVs can be ordered with upgraded alloy wheels up to 21- and 22-inches for winter and summer, respectively. They can also be equipped with LED projectors that show the M logo on the ground whenever the door is opened.

Interior upgrades are also in abundance, such as the M Performance steering wheel covered in Alcantara and adorned with carbon fiber accents. Not interested in the standard chrome shift paddles? No problem, as one can order a carbon fiber look that complements the steering wheel. Some additional upgrades include floor mats, tire bags, a key holder, and stainless steel pedals and footrest.

While not everyone, specifically brand enthusiasts, is a fan of BMW's M Performance Parts program, it's still nice to see a mainstream luxury performance brand offering ways for customers to make their vehicles unique. BMW has not yet announced pricing figures for any of the above accessories, though they will all be available for purchase beginning next month.
