BMW has announced two new special models for the North American market in the X6 Performance Edition and 6 Series Frozen Silver Edition. Only 100 examples of the former and just 55 copies of the latter are penciled for production. Split equally between the xDrive35i and xDrive50i models, the 2013 BMW Individual X6 Performance Edition comes with the M Performance Package that adds 15 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque to the 3.0-liter straight-six and 40 hp and 30 lb-ft to the 4.4-liter V8 version.

Exterior mods include Pearl Silver metallic paint, 20-inch Y-spoke alloys and black chrome exhaust tips. The interior comes with seats and door panels upholstered in black Alcantara and leather with orange contrast stitching, while the dash and center console are finished with carbon leather. Other special features include softer-closing doors, running boards and satellite radio. The 2013 BMW 6 Series Frozen Silver Edition is based on the 650i Coupe and 650i xDrive Coupe, and is distinguished by a matte-finish Frozen Silver paintjob with contrasting black mirror caps and 20-inch two-tone M Performance alloys.

Inside, black Nappa leather and gray wood have been used to trim the cabin. The M Sport package includes an aero kit, Shadowline exterior trim, Alcantara headliner, sport exhaust with dark chrome tips, black brake calipers, M steering wheel, driver's side footrest, and door sill finishers. Soft-closing doors, power rear sunshade, ventilated front seats, leather dashboard, ceramic secondary controls and head-up display round out the package. Pricing for the X6 special starts at $81,695, while the 650i Frozen Silver Edition goes from $99,295 upwards as deliveres are set to start at the end of the year.
