BMW Unveils M Performance Parts For X5 M and X6 M

A host of new exterior and interior options for owners that demand added fury.

You can't look at the BMW X5 M or X6 M and say the performance SUVs aren't aggressive looking, yet BMW has created a new range of M Performance parts for owners that require an extra dimension of ferocity. Up front, new styling options include a blacked-out radiator and side sills with black slats and an M logo. Handmade carbon exterior mirror caps with gloss black rear fins for the X6 M continue the darkened theme, while M stripes in blue, purple, and red can be applied to the side sills and in the lower grill section of the front and rear bumpers.

If asked why they did it, owners can quote BMW in answering because they provide "a direct and conspicuous link to the brand's racing heritage." The cabin boasts a host of carbon-fiber trim, noticeably on the gear shifter insert and center console, as well as an M Performance steering wheel with a blue center marker and Alcantara/carbon rim. Other new interior treats include LED door sill plates with illuminated lettering, and stainless steel pedal covers.
