Mercedes has only recently introduced the X-Class pickup, yet tuning company Brabus has wasted no time in offering an upgrade package for customers seeking a little more exclusivity. Brabus has been offering their customers another level of personalization above what the manufacturer can provide for over four decades. its latest project, the X-Class, begins its transformation with a bodywork conversion that includes unique Monoblock X 20-inch wheels and both front bumper and roof-mounted LED lights.

The tires are high-performance items that should improve on-road ability yet be suitable for light off-road excursions too. Detail trim changes to the grille are complemented by a set of quad-tailpipes that add some visual drama to the rear end. The interior features further Brabus details such as stainless scuff plates and sporty aluminum finished pedals and footrests. A high degree of personalization is also on offer through Brabus's upholstery shop which offers a vast number of different upholstery colors and designs that can be custom made to individual tastes.

When it comes to powerplant upgrades, the X 250d can be ordered with the Brabus D4 PowerXtra performance upgrade kit. This boosts the 2.3-liter turbodiesel engine's output by 21-hp and 42 lb-ft meaning you now get a total of 208-hp and 376 lb-ft of torque over a broad rev-range. While standing-start acceleration has been improved, drivability has also been enhanced which is of more importance in this type of application. The X350d will also receive a similar upgrade kit in the near future. The conversion can be carried out at any authorized Mercedes-Benz workshop which adds further peace of mind.
