Like the new C63 needed more power.
It goes without saying, you can never have too muchhorsepower. And those that think the base Mercedes-AMG C63 S’ 503 hp rating isa little low, can now get the PowerXtra B40 - 600 power kit from Brabus. Theinsane tuning company’s package increases the C63 S’ twin-turbocharged 4.0-literV8 output to a whopping 591 hp, which is 88 hp more than stock. How’s that fora power increase? Along with the power increase comes a healthy dosage of torque.
The C63 S’ powerful engine produces 516 lb-ft of torque right out of the box,but Brabus’ kit raises that figure to 590 lb-ft. The power upgradesmeans the kit aids the sedan in getting to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and onto a topspeed of 186 mph. Remarkably, Brabus has managed to harness this extra powerthrough new mapping for injection and ignition, along with an increase in boostpressure. In addition to the performance kit, Brabus is also offering interestedbuyers an aero package developed in the wind tunnel. Brabus’ aero kit is manufactured from clear-coated carbon with a shiny or matte surface seal.
The C63 S’ standard front bumper can be fittedwith a spoiler lip, while carbon surrounds find their way on the side airintakes. At the back, the C63 S gets a rear spoiler and a diffuser with clear-coatedcarbon covers for the mirrors as options, as well. Brabus will also be offeringinterior upgrades for the C63 S including fine Mastik leather, stainless-steelscuff plates, Alcantara and a color-changing backlit Brabus logo. A vehiclewith the entire Brabus kit will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show,while the kit is available for both sedan and the wagon body styles.
