When Mercedes-AMG revealed that it would stuff the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the AMG GT into the more user friendly C63 (recently replaced by the C43), we knew the one thing that the sedan and coupe wouldn't need is power. In its most potent form, the C63 S puts out 503 hp, which is more than enough to get into some trouble with. While the C63 S is already more powerful than its competitors, Brabus has upped performance to supercar level with a host of modifications that give it the same capabilities of certain Italian exotics.

The German tuning company has gone to work on the C63 S' 4.0-liter twin-turbo by updating its turbochargers with a larger compressor unit, a reprogrammed ECU, a special core assembly with reinforced axial bearings, as well as a fully stainless-steel exhaust system with actively controlled butterfly valves. That may not seem like a lot of new parts, but Brabus' PowerXtra B40S-650 increases performance to 641 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. This allows the sedan to get to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 200 mph. That means that Brabus' C63 S is just as quick as a Maserati MC12.

The tuning company also partnered with Bilstein to develop specially tuned height-adjustable coilover suspension that allows the driver to adjust the rebound and compression rates of the gas-pressure shocks at the front and rear axle to be changed to one of ten settings. To give the C63 S a more aggressive look, Brabus fitted the sedan with a host of carbon bodywork parts that come in either matte or mirror-polished sealed surface. The available aero bits include a rear spoiler, a front apron, mirror caps, and rear diffuser. Brabus also offers interior customization, which includes aluminum trims and accents, as well as unique upholstery.

Brabus offers the C63 S with bespoke 20-inch wheels that can be mounted to either Pirelli, Yokohama, or Continental tires. The Brabus C63 S will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
