Brabus has made a name for itself making fast Mercedes models even more extreme. A few months ago, the German aftermarket tuner transformed the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S into a wild 800-hp super SUV, and now the coupe version has been given the Brabus treatment for those who don't need the extra storage space and prefer the more stylish coupe SUV bodystyle.

In stock form, the GLE Coupe's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generates a colossal 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest SUVs in its class. If that's still not enough grunt for you, Brabus has fitted new turbos with a larger compression unit and reinforced axial bearings, remapped the ECU, and installed a stainless high-performance exhaust system.

These modifications boost the output to 789 hp at 5,900 rpm and 737 lb-ft of torque at a low 3,500 rpm, giving the super SUV more power than a Ferrari F8 Tributo. As you would expect, adding an extra 185 hp has a dramatic effect on the performance. 0-60 mph in the modified Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe takes 3.4 seconds, down from 3.7 seconds in the stock SUV. Not bad for an SUV that weighs 2.3-tonnes.

Top speed is still electronically limited to 174 mph. To make the GLE Coupe's V8 growl more viciously, the stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system features actively controlled exhaust flaps and four tailpipes that can be finished in titanium or carbon.

To give the GLE Coupe a suitably sporty appearance that complements its increased performance, Brabus has fitted numerous aero-enhancing carbon-fiber components including a new front spoiler that improves stability, larger air intakes on the front bumper, an aggressive rear diffuser, and a three-piece rear spoiler. The custom GLE Coupe rides on alloys available in sizes ranging from 22 to 24 inches.

The SUV shown in photos features Monoblock Y Black Platinum hi-tech forged wheels measuring 10Jx23 at the front and 12Jx23 on the rear axle, wrapped in 295/35 R 23 and 335/30 R 23 high-performance tires. A control module also lowers the Mercedes GLE Coupe one inch closer to the ground.

Inside, the interior can be tailored with leather and Alcantara materials in any choice of color. No pricing information has been released, but the Brabus 800 SUV Coupe can be ordered as a complete car or an upgrade package for an existing GLE 63 Coupe.
