It's been a very busy year for Brabus. In the last few months, the German tuner has extracted 800 hp from the new 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S and transformed the new S-Class into a 500-hp super sedan. Now, Brabus has turned its attention to the new 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 and GLS 63 luxury SUVs with a new tuning package that adds a slew of carbon-fiber performance parts and increases the performance significantly.

In standard spec, the 2021 GLE and GLS are powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. That's already a ludicrous amount of power for a luxury SUV, but Brabus has increased the output to an insane 800 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque.

This upgrade makes the AMG GLE and GLS more potent than some of the most powerful luxury SUVs on the market like the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga Speed.

This massive performance boost was achieved thanks to two custom turbochargers with larger compressors and an increased boost pressure of 1.6 bar along with a remapped ECU. As a result, the modified AMG GLE will now accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, while the heavier GLS will do the same sprint in 3.6 seconds. Both SUVs max out at 174 mph. An optional stainless-steel quad exhaust system with actively controlled exhaust flaps gives the V8 powerplant a throatier, more aggressive soundtrack.

As with most of the German tuner's creations, the 800-hp GLE and GLS can be kitted out with a range of carbon body parts available in high gloss or matt, including a new front spoiler, new front bumper intakes, a roof spoiler, and a diffuser insert. These enhancements give the SUVs a sportier appearance while also improving the aerodynamics.

To improve stability, the ride height of the high-performance luxury SUVs has been lowered by around one inch. Brabus also offers a choice of lightweight forged alloy wheels ranging from 21-24 inches in size. Inside, the cabin can be lavished with high-quality leather trim, aluminum pedals, and stainless-steel scuff plates with a backlit Brabus logo.
