Brand New 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Has Never Been Driven

For Sale / 21 Comments

Meticulously maintained for over a decade, the performance coupe is now looking for a new home.

There will always be people who buy performance cars and keep them in storage for years before selling them to make a tidy profit. That's the case with this 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 listed for sale on eBay, which is practically brand new. According to the seller, this is the lowest-mileage 2008 Challenger for sale anywhere in the USA. With only nine miles on the odometer, we don't doubt that claim.

When the car was first purchased from the dealer, it was picked up in an enclosed trailer where it has been stored for the last 11 years. It was occasionally removed from the trailer to have all mechanicals exercised. The engine was started once a month and the car was driven up and down the seller's driveway every couple of months to keep everything lubricated.

Over the years, the owner has added liquid stabilizers to ensure everything continued to work properly and kept the battery on a trickle charger. It still has the original tires, the original dealer floor mats, and even the factory airbag warning tab hanging from the dashboard.

No license plates have ever been issued and the car also features every factory option that was available in 2008. At the time of writing, the car is listed on eBay in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a Buy It Now price of $36,995- that's $325 less than the base MSRP when it was new.

Alternatively, you could just buy a brand-new 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack for around $3,000 more and enjoy all the improvements that have been made over the last decade. Dodge has sold the same generation Challenger since 2008, so it isn't a sought-after collector's car just yet. If it does find a new owner though, they may want to give the 11-year old Challenger a thorough clean as the seller says the car has never been washed and has over a decade's worth of dust on the finish.
