Bring It! GT-R Engine May Power Additional Infiniti Models

Engine

Joining the nearly-confirmed Q50 Eau Rouge.

The other day, we provided you with some details regardingthe possibility of a production version of the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept. This concept is poweredby a tuned version of the Nissan GT-R’s insane engine, and is said to produce some 560horses. Now, it seems that Nissan’s luxury division would like to really milkthis engine for all its worth, with up to three models in its lineup designatedas possible recipients of this powertrain.

This idea isn't just a gearhead fantasy, as it comesdirectly from Infiniti boss, Johan de Nysschen. “I think that we shouldexpect to see at least three different car lines across the Infiniti lineupthat feature that powertrain,” de Nysschen told Motor Trend. “You can imagine ahigh-end coupe, you can imagine a real high-performance luxury four-seater… andit seems to me a logical evolution to do the new Q60.” He also hinted at apossible four-door coupe model, slotting between the Q50 and Q70. We say, bringit on.
