We caught the upcoming 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL cruising around the streets sporting some camouflage a few weeks ago, and now we have a handful of leaked brochure scans courtesy of Driving-fun.com that reveals the car's front, side, rear and interior. There's a chance the SL will be unveiled in Detroit, and if so technical specs should be released pretty soon. For now we can concentrate on its styling that seems to take plenty of design cues from the SLS, most notably at the rear.

Up to 89 percent of the bodywork features lightweight aluminum, resulting in some 140kg coming off the total weight and combined with a lower, wider stance, the SL should be more economical and more fun to drive. Expect anything from a 3.5-liter V6 to a 4.6-liter twin turbocharged V8 powerplant to be available under the hood along with a couple of AMG variants, which are nailed-on certainties for the end of 2012.
