As the ultimate status symbols, high-end supercars such as the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and handcrafted timepieces have a lot in common; they're both eccentrically flashy ways to flaunt wealth, they're highly exclusive because of their limited availability, and they are, of course, eye-wateringly expensive. But apart from their grandiose affiliation, supercars and timepieces are masterfully crafted portrayals of the best humanity has to offer in performance, aesthetics, and mechanical precision - qualities every supercar aficionado worships. Now, enthusiasts, and those with a specific appeal for the famous Bugatti Chiron, are offered the chance to stretch their admiration for the hypercar with an exclusive Tourbillon timepiece from Jacob & Co.

Hyper-sportscar brand and French automaker Bugatti, in a joint effort with high-end timepiece craftsman, Jacob & Co., have debuted a collection of four Tourbillon timepieces modeled on the extraordinary Bugatti Chiron. A crystalline sapphire crystal envelops the face and the case carries inspiration from the flowing lines of the unique Chiron. The movement, which is made up of 578 individual parts, is an "engine block" tailored after the legendary 8.0-liter W16 engine found in the hypercar. It's enlivened by Jacob & Co.'s Manual Winding JCAM37 tourbillon inclined at 30 degrees and held in place by Chiron-style shock absorbers.

The collection is presented in a variety of unique hues matched with fitting precious metals and stones, including titanium, gold, and diamonds. Depending on the version, either only 52 or 72 will ever be forged, making each piece in the collection a true and exclusive collector's item. On the face of it, only owners of a Bugatti will be allowed to purchase one of these one-of-a-kind timepieces. Pricing for the Bugatti Chiron starts at nearly $3,000,000 in the US, and buyers will will have to cough up an extra €260,000 ( $316,745 at the current conversion rate) for a matching timepiece.
