Bugatti is a car company with few complaints at the moment. It has recently reported its best quarter ever and has just opened the doors to its first Japanese showroom. But there's always room for growth, and one region that absolutely adores expensive luxury items like Bugatti hypercars is the Middle East.

And although there have been numerous sales of Bugattis in the region, there are still millions more dollars to be made. Thus, Bugatti has just unveiled the Chiron Sport Les Legendes du Ciel, with this first appearance taking place as part of a VIP drive event for the exceptionally well-heeled.

Bugatti hosted "a select group of VIPs" and "the vehicle was revealed in the most exclusive fashion, during one-to-one private viewings at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah". These viewings were followed by more in the capital of Riyadh, which saw Le Mans-winning Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace explaining the driving characteristics and power delivery of the Chiron Sport. Wallace also took these VIPs on a driving event in the surrounding countryside before allowing them to get behind the wheel themselves to experience what the car is really like on the road.

"We know that the Middle East region thrives on luxury, and so it is important for potential customers to have access to the latest Bugatti models," Kostas Psarris, Regional Director Middle East & Asia at Bugatti Automobiles, said. "We are delighted to present the 'Les Legendes du Ciel' edition of the Chiron Sport to the Middle East region starting from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

Presumably, this means that more drive events with the aviation-inspired Chiron Sport special edition will follow in the region, with somewhere like Dubai likely to be next on the list. We're just glad nobody crashed a Bugatti on this occasion.
