We're only a few months away from the Bugatti Chiron's official premiere at Geneva. Bugatti is obviously keeping major details under wraps, but we do know its all-new hypercar will come powered by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine with around 1,500 hp. Question is, however, will that massive motor come with any electric assistance, as is the case with the likes of the Porsche 918 Spyder? Well, that may end up being the case.

This video shows not one but two Chiron prototypes caught testing against its Veyron predecessor (the Vitesse), the 918, and the Lamborghini Huracan. But there's something else that really caught our attention – the BMW i8. We never considered this as a Chiron competitor, at least not in the performance realm. Efficiency and range is something else.
