Definitely not your grandfather's Buick anymore.
Perhaps it was those Black Friday deals. Or maybe it's just that Buick now has a solid lineup of premium models that are well-priced and stylish. It's likely a combination of both. But whatever the case, Buick has had its best sales month since 2003. Compared to November of last year, November 2014's sales numbers were up by 27 percent. So which Buick models are moving the fastest off showroom floors? The Verano, for instance, saw a sales increase of 32 percent compared to November of last year.
Even the aging but recently refreshed LaCrosse had a 52 percent boost for the same period. However, Buick owes its greatest success to the Encore, which had a staggering 55.7 percent sales increase over last November. What's more, the small crossover, according to GM Authority, has "seen a sustained sales increase of 56.8 percent through the first eleven months of this year." A total of 4,577 Encores were sold last month alone. These numbers are mighty impressive, considering that barely a decade ago Buicks were nothing more cruiser sedans appealing mainly to the Florida retirement community crowd.
