Buick's Avenir sub-brand has quickly become a huge sales success. One in every four Enclave models sold is an Avenir, and the LaCrosse Avenir looks like a solid luxury sedan. Based on the success of Avenir, Buick would be silly not to expand the luxury trim level to more models. We recently drove the 2019 Buick Envision, which was extremely comfortable and could benefit from an even more luxurious Avenir trim.

Although the Envision would be a good candidate for an Avenir model, The Truth About Cars has uncovered a General Motors Fleet Order Guide that lists a different future Avenir model. The document lists a 2019 Regal Avenir, which will only be available with front-wheel-drive and the four-door sportback body style. As with other Regal models, the Avenir trim will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo producing 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque going out through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Standard equipment on the Avenir will include 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, auto-dimming side mirrors, and the Driver Confidence Package 1 (four-way power lumbar adjustment and a wireless charging panel). The eight-inch infotainment system will have built-in navigation and will be linked to an eight-speaker Bose audio system. The Regal Avenir will also include lots of standard safety features such as rear park assist, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring. We didn't get to see any pictures of this new trim level from the order guide, but we should see it sooner rather than later.
