Time is running out for the LaCrosse.
We've known for some time the Buick LaCrosse is on its way out. More recently, it was confirmed that the Buick Regal and Regal TourX will also soon be discontinued. Buick, at least for the foreseeable future, is turning into a crossover-only brand. The once-great era of Buick sedans is about to come to an end, though not before some incredible offers.
For the rest of this month and possibly all of next month, Buick is running a 20 percent discount on most remaining 2019 Buick LaCrosse sedans, which can add up to around $8,000 in savings. This isn't the first time Buick has given such an attractive LaCrosse discount, but this time the offer is exclusive to owners of non-GM vehicles. In the past, it was for current GM owners only. If nearly $8k in savings still isn't good enough for you, then Buick has tacked on this additional discount: interest-free financing for 72 months.
However, this does exclude the base 1SV trim. Buick made an example of the 20 percent discount as follows: a 2019 LaCrosse Essence model with front-wheel drive carries an MSRP of $41,780. The offer equates to $8,353 off MSRP thanks to a $3,030 price reduction plus a $5,326 purchase allowance. This drops the final price to a very reasonable $33,424. Bear in mind the average new car price in the US earlier this year reached $37,185, so with Buick's discount on the aforementioned LaCrosse Essence, you'd be getting a large luxury sedan at an amazing price.
Buick currently states this offer is valid through January 2, 2020, but the chances of selling off all remaining LaCrosse inventory in just a few days seems rather unlikely.
Therefore it's entirely possible Buick will decide to extend this month's offer for another few weeks. We'll find out soon enough. But frankly, this 2019 Buick LaCrosse offer is about as good as you'll ever find. And once this Buick sedan is sold out, then that's it. All new Buicks from this point on will be crossovers.
