Following years of rumors and waiting, the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck is finally here and sales are about to get underway. Not surprisingly, Jeep has announced it will offer a small run of Gladiator Launch Edition models and you'll have to act fast if you're interested. You could also win $100,000.

Starting this Thursday, April 4 you can place an order on a first come, first served basis. Why April 4? Because it's 4/4, aka Jeep 4x4 Day. A total of only 4,190 Launch Edition models will be offered. This output number references the 419 area code of Toledo, Ohio, where the Gladiator is built alongside the Wrangler.

Based on the Rubicon trim, the 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition features a unique forged aluminum tailgate badge, 17-inch Mid Gloss Black aluminum wheels, 33-inch Falken Wildpeak All-Terrain tires, and a wrapped instrument panel mid-bolster painted in Monaco silver and black leather seats with red stitching. Exterior color options include Black, Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic, Firecracker Red and Granite Crystal Metallic.

Additional exterior features include a body color hard top and fender flares. Under the hood lies the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic are the two gearbox choices.

But what about that $100k? Those who pre-order a Gladiator Launch Edition will automatically be entered in the "Find Your Freedom" contest. The winner will receive $100,000 which Jeep equates with being one-year's salary. The whole idea is to take time off (or quit your job) and travel around the country with your new Gladiator to enjoy the outdoor and off-road life.

If you're interested in a Gladiator Launch Edition, the ordering process starts at the dedicated Jeep Gladiator concierge website. Buyers will first need to enter their details and a concierge team member will contact them to help with the purchasing process. The last step will be to connect customers to a dealership where they'll make their deposit and finalize the deal.
