What's the catch?
Sales of the 2018 Cadillac Escalade have been solid so far this year. At the end of the third quarter, sales were up by 1.9 percent to 9,533 examples, while deliveries in the first nine months of this year are up more than 53 percent from 15,816 to 24,223 examples. Not bad at all considering fresh competition from the newly redesigned Lincoln Navigator.
To keep the sales push going, Cadillac is offering some great incentives this month. GM Authority has learned there’s a nationwide sale for October 2018 on pretty much the entire Escalade range, including ESV extended-length versions.
The sales breakdown is as follows:
• $2,000 toward the purchase of a new Escalade
• $5,000 purchase allowance for Escalade Standard models
• $6,000 purchase allowance for Escalade Luxury models
• $7,000 purchase allowance for Escalade Premium Luxury and Escalade Platinum models
• 2.9 percent APR when financing a 2018 Escalade with GM Financial
Prospective buyers should also take into account updated pricing. For example, the Escalade Standard trim now starts off at $75,990 while the Standard ESV begins at $78,990. The top trim Platinum and Platinum ESV begin at $95,090 and $98,090, respectively.
It’s still too early to know whether these offers will continue into next month, so there may be no sense in holding out for something better if you happen to be in the market. Cadillac specifically points out that customers must take delivery of their new Escalade by October 31 in order to benefit from these incentives.
There’s also another reason why Cadillac is offering such attractive deals: an all-new Escalade is slated to debut sometime later this year or early next year. We previously heard the first ever XT6 three-row crossover will be unveiled at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show in January. If so, chances are the 2020 Escalade will make its first appearance at LA in late November or New York in April. Meanwhile, it appears Cadillac is not having any problems liquidating its current Escalade inventory. Those incentives will likely help lure in even more buyers.
