Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Coupe

Before McLaren Automotive became what it is today, the carmaker teamed up with Mercedes-Benz (post F1) to build what turned out to be one of the coolest cars in the first decade of this century. Not surprisingly, the rich and famous were eager to get their hands on one of those 5.4-liter supercharged V8, dihedral door German-British silver bullets. Basketball superstar Michael Jordan was one of them. He snagged a 2007 model, and now it's up for sale. Jordan's SLR McLaren is a 722 Edition.

Compared to the regular versions, the 722 Edition featured wider bodywork in order to accommodate wider racing wheels, a revised front grille sans vents, larger air extractors on the hood and side flanks, and a rear spoiler and diffuser. Weight was also reduced by some 877 pounds for a new total weight of just 2,900 pounds. The supercharged V8's output was upped to 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic (hey, this was a decade ago). Sold exclusively through RENNtech in North America, just 21 examples were made. They probably literally begged Jordan to buy one, so he did.

His car is still in beautiful condition overall with just 1,038 miles on its clock. The interior in particularly is virtually flawless. Other features include 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, AMG race timer, Alcantara headliner, ABS brakes, black mesh type hood air outlets, carbon ceramic brakes and a carbon fiber front splitter. The asking price is $625,000 and you can contact (via Autotrader) Crave Luxury Auto in Woodlands, Texas, if you're (seriously) interested.
