On September 1, Fox Lake, Illinois, Police Lt. Joseph Gliniewicz was shot and killed in the line of duty. He left behind his wife of 26 years and four sons. The community of this Chicago suburb is, of course, grieving for the entire family, and one local museum is now doing its part to help. The Volo Auto Museum will be auctioning off this very rare 2002 Chevrolet Camaro B4C police car beginning this September 11 on eBay. The no-reserve auction will conclude on September 18.

All proceeds, of course, will be going directly to his Lt. Gliniewicz's four sons. Museum director, Brian Grams, was a friend of Lt. Gliniewicz, and he's organizing the auction. The Camaro has also been given unique graphics designed specifically to honor Gliniewicz. Full details about car and auction can be found at the Volo Cars Museum website. Special hat tip to Bruce.
