Genesis is a fairly new luxury brand and as such, the company has had its fair share of missteps. But now it seems like the Hyundai Group's luxury arm is beginning its upward trajectory with upcoming new products like the GV80 SUV and redesigned G80 sedan. In addition to these two new exciting products, Genesis has finally launched its first certified pre-owned program.

For those who do not know, a certified pre-owned (CPO) car is like a used car but includes a factory-backed warranty. With a CPO car, you can enjoy the depreciation associated with most luxury vehicles but still have a warranty like a new car. Used Genesis models were already a great bargain but now they include a warranty for added assurance.

The new CPO program will be available on all 2017 and newer Genesis G70, Genesis G80, and Genesis G90 models with under 60,000 miles. We've already stated that a used G90 is the best car you can get under $30,000 and now, that statement is even more cemented. If a Genesis car meets these criteria, it will be given a 191-point inspection and issued a CPO warranty.

Genesis already offers one of the best new car warranties on the market, so it makes sense that the company's CPO warranty would also be strong. The CPO warranty includes the balance of the original six-year/75,000-mile limited warranty as well as the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

On the oldest qualifying examples with the highest possible mileage, meaning a 2017 model with 60,000 miles, the CPO warranty would still cover two years/15,000 miles on the limited warranty and six years/40,000 miles on the powertrain. In addition to the warranty coverage, the Genesis CPO program also includes rental car and travel reimbursements, 1- years of roadside assistance, and three years of complimentary Genesis Connected Services.
