Awesome upgrade courtesy of an uprated twin-turbo V8 M157 transplant.
The Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series packs a more than capable 517-hp naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V8 M156 engine. But what would happen if you fitted an uprated M157 unit in there? That’s what GAD-Motors pondered, and the result of the engine transplant is that the coupe’s output has been increased to a colossal 850 hp and 996 lb-ft of torque. All that power is sent to all four wheels via a revised 4MATIC transmission and modified MCT multi-clutch.
0-62 mph can now be clocked in 3.1 seconds (a full 1.1 seconds quicker than stock), 0-124 mph in 8.8 seconds and 0- 186 mph in 23.5 seconds. Chassis upgrades include a KW adjustable suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes that help stop the car from 62mph in 33m, and from 124 mph in 132m. The cost of the upgrade, excluding the cost of the car, is an eye-watering 180,250 Euros.
