Cadillac is currently busy with a year-long celebration commemorating 20 years of V-Series models, and now it has quietly launched the 2024 CT4-V and CT5-V and their respective Blackwing models.

The standard CT4-V's MRSP increases from $46,595 to $47,095. The CT4-V Blackwing is up from $60,995 to $61,495. Caddy's smallest V comes standard with a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged inline-four producing 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The CT4-V Blackwing retains its 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, chucking out 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. It's available with a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic.

Both models get a new Anniversary grille and new color options. These options include Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, Velocity Red, and Black Diamond Tricoat. The metallic options cost $625, while the Black Diamond has a hefty $1,995 price tag. The Blackwing model retains the signature lettering under the famous V-Series badge on the sides and rear.

The CT5-V has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 360 hp and 405 lb-ft. Like the CT4-V, it's only available with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Pricing starts at $52,890, a mere $500 increase from the 2023 model year.

The CT5-V Blackwing costs $94,890 with the six-speed manual transmission, and the price increases to $98,065 with a 10-speed automatic.

All of the new colors mentioned earlier are also available for the CT5 and cost the same. To further set the 2024 MY apart, all models mentioned above get new graphics for the digital instrument cluster.

For such a significant milestone, Cadillac didn't do much to set the 2024 models apart, but the year isn't done yet. Remember, Cadillac is also returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time in more than 20 years. And besides, CarBuzz ranked the CT5-V Blackwing as the best V-Series model so far, so why mess with a formula that works?

Cadillac knocked it out of the park with the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models, finally taking the fight to BMW's doorstep. Now that the BMW 5 Series is no longer available with a V8, the CT-5 V Blackwing kind of owns the $100k-ish high-performance sedan segment. And the CT-4 Blackwing sells for much less than a BMW M3, and its manual gearbox is infinitely more satisfying than the self-shifter in the Bimmer.

While Cadillac is slowly going electric and even more upmarket as a direct rival to Rolls-Royce, it's nice to see the company still very much involved in motorsport. In addition to returning to Le Mans, the American brand also wants to join the F1 grid in 2026, but that particular bid is not going too well due to the F1 Old Boy's Club blocking its attempt.
