The goal here is to wipe out the BMW M4. Dethrone it as the benchmark high-performance luxury coupe, if you will. And Cadillac may very well have done just that. Presenting the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, brought to us by these leaked and somewhat low-res images. As predicted, power comes from a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 that spits out 450 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. It's mated to a six-speed manual (real driving enthusiasts row their own gears) while an eight-speed paddle shift automatic is optional. All that power is sent directly to the rear wheels.
Total weight comes in at 3,600 lbs. Do the quick math and you'll see the ATS-V Coupe has an extra 25 hp and 39 lb-ft over the M4 – and they weigh nearly the same. Some notable exterior enhancements include that "suck on it, Germany" hood scoop, beefy brakes, quad exhaust, rear spoiler, and a new front fascia featuring a carbon-fiber splitter and mesh grille. We love it, but we'll have to wait for its unveiling at the LA Auto Show on November 18 for the fully skinny.
