Cadillac is going through a spectacular renaissance, and the American car-buying market is loving it. The luxury automaker is currently placing most of its attention on expanding its EV range, with the new Cadillac Celestiq grabbing most major headlines, but the company is also planning a major comeback in the world of motorsport. Cadillac's Project GTP Hypercar is set to compete in the grueling World Endurance Championship Hypercar class, and it has just teased the upcoming 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition that will surely find its way onto the American motorsport circuit. The Instagram clip is only a few seconds long, but we really, really like what we're seeing.

Cadillac is yet to share any official figures, but from what we can tell in the video, Track Edition cars will feature Carbon Fiber 1 and Carbon Fiber 2 packages and some shouty IMSA decals similar to the Cadillac CTS-V IMSA Championship Edition launched in 2017. The three cars in the video feature Electric Blue, Rift Metallic, and Maverick Noir Frost exterior colors, and Cadillac claims that the vehicles are inspired by Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, and Sebring, all legendary road courses that hold much significance for Cadillac. The Maverick Noir Frost model can be seen sporting the Sebring track layout in the rear driver's side door, while the Electric Blue car is dedicated to Watkins Glen. The Rift Metallic CT4-V Black wing Track Edition is likely to wear the Road Atlanta track layout.

We don't expect Cadillac to make any major engine changes, so the twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine should keep its 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, but perhaps we'll see some chassis upgrades, suspension tuning, or even bigger brakes. We've praised the standard CT4-V Blackwing for its great steering feel and excellent dynamics, and hope that the Track Edition will bring even more driver engagement to the party. Cadillac says that it will host a full reveal on its website in July, and BMW will most likely be tuning in from an incognito tab.
