Time for an overhaul of the brand's best-selling model.
Cadillac is experiencing something of a sales slump at the moment. To correct this, the luxury brand has just undergone a management shakeup that will hopefully turn things around. In addition, Cadillac is planning its future lineup to include some serious performance cars, such as the new ATS-V and CTS-V. While the 2015 model is just beginning to reach dealers (albeit slowly), Cadillac is also gearing up to launch the next-generation SRX.
The current SRX was revealed in 2009, making this redesign vital in order to keep up with the competition. Interestingly, sales of the current SRX have climbed 16 percent this year, compared to the ATS and XTS that have each fallen by more than 20 percent through July. The SRX is currently Cadillac’s best-selling model. Details about its replacement are still scarce, but we can’t see Cadillac doing anything less than going all the way in its continued efforts to lure buyers away from German brands as well as Lexus.
