The new Corvette Z06 may just turn out to be one of the greatest high-performance sports cars GM has ever built. Its supercharged V8 is nothing short of extraordinary. But before Chevy officially pulled off the sheets of its latest Z06, Callaway Cars was already hard at work developing some supercharged Corvette Stingray goodness of its own. The aftermarket tuner and engine design company has just unveiled the first details of its Corvette S610 tuning program.

Simply put, it's a supercharged version of the Corvette Stingray. All told it produces 610 horsepower and 556 lb-ft of torque, up from 455 hp and 460 lb-ft. Callaway claims its new creation will make the sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and the quarter mile in 11 seconds at 125 mph. Along with the supercharger, the Callaway crew added a high-flow intake, coil-over suspension, and a stainless steel sports exhaust. The exterior features a carbon fiber hood, door sill panels and Callaway badges. Also included are embroidered floor mats and a build plaque under the hood. Official pricing hasn't been announced.
