It won't be easy to get your hands on the new 2014 Chevrolet SS due to its low production numbers and limited dealer allotment. But if you happen to be lucky enough to snatch one up, your next step should be to pick up the phone and call the folks over at Callaway Cars. Why? Because the performance tuning firm has just revealed details of its SS tuning program, which sees output boosted to an estimated 570 horsepower and 535 lb-ft of torque, up from 415 hp and 415 lb-ft.

Called the "SC5470" kit, owners will be treated to, amongst other things, a new supercharger system, high flow intake system, low restriction exhaust system, Callaway badging inside and out, and a 3 year/36,000 mile limited warranty. The price for all of this kit will set you back an additional $18,695, after you fork over $44,470 for the stock SS itself. That may sound like a lot, but when you add the numbers up, the performance to dollar ratio is still quite a bargain when compared to many German brands (that'd be you, BMW M5) rivals.
