For most truck and SUV buyers, a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower is more than enough power. But if there wasn't a small portion of the population that wanted something more extreme, there would be no reason for the Ford F-150 Raptor R and Ram 1500 TRX to exist.

Aside from the 668-horsepower Cadillac Escalade-V, General Motors hasn't jumped into the realm of extreme performance full-size vehicles. That's where American tuning company Callaway comes into the picture with a full line-up of supercharged GM vehicles.

Callaway installs an Eaton TVS rotor pack with a proprietary supercharger housing and TripleCooled intercooler system. The result is 520 hp (SAE-corrected) on GM's 5.3-liter V8 engine (up from 355 hp) and 602 hp on the 6.2-liter V8 (up from 420 hp). In other words, the GM SUVs and trucks can now go in a drag race.

This supercharged upgrade is now available for a variety of full-size GM products, including the 2021 to 2023 Cadillac Escalade, 2021 to 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, 2022 to 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2021 to 2023 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the 2021 to 2023 GMC Sierra 1500.

In addition to the power, these models also receive special touches such as 'Callaway' badging on the interior and exterior, carbon engine covers, anodized door sills, key fob medallions, and an Authenticity Documentation Package.

Buyers can personalize their vehicles with various wheel choices and other performance/appearance options such as suspension and exhaust.

Interested customers can find Callaway vehicles at licensed Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac dealers across North America. The trucks and SUVs roll off their respective assembly lines and are then shipped to one of the Callaway factories in either California or Connecticut for their upgrades.

Buyers can then take delivery at their chosen dealer or schedule the pickup from the factory. Each one comes with a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and an optional five-year/60,000-mile powertrain service contract.
