Callaway Will Supercharge 2015 Tahoe and Suburban to 450HP

Chevy specialist Callaway has just announced a superchargingpackage that it plans to offer on the brand-new 2015 Chevy Suburban and TahoeSUVs. The package will include a wide array of upgrades to the company’sfull-size SUVs engines, boosting their 5.3-liter EcoTec V8s with an Eaton TVS Roots-stylesupercharger. This will bring the duo’s power output up to 450 horsepower and450 lb-ft of torque, up from the stock 355 and 383.

The engine upgrade will also include a liquid-to-airintercooler and a new exhaust system. Under the hood, the supercharged enginewill receive a special Callaway plaque. All components will benefit from athree-year/36,000-mile warranty, and interiors will be given embroidered headrestsand Callaway floor mats. This massive upgrade doesn’t come cheap: the packagewill cost $17,395 for both vehicles, which will be tacked on to the Tahoe’sbase price of $45,595 or the Suburban’s $48,295 starting price. Both SUVs willhit showrooms at the end of this quarter.
