In February, Callaway revealed its supercharged version of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and, it turns out, the tuner was estimating its figures a little on the low side. The previous figures we were given took the stock 6.2-liter V8 from generating 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque to 585 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. Now Callaway has given the verified performance specs for the supercharged upgrade. The estimated specs were impressive enough, but now the firm is claiming the Callaway Silverado Signature Edition is able to deliver a monstrous 602 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel following verification testing.

This newly verified performance data for the tuned truck put it up into territory where it can play with sports cars from the traffic lights. According to Callaway, the gain of 182 hp and 100 lb-ft of torque over the stock engine matched to the all-wheel-drive option will propel the truck from zero to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. A stock 6.2-liter 2021 Silverado 1500 will make the same short sprint in 5.4 seconds. That means the Callaway Silverado will hit 60 mph 0.4 seconds faster than the legendary 1989 Callaway Corvette Twin Turbo.

"Notably, that's the same 0-60 acceleration as a stock 2007 C6 Corvette, and less than a half-second slower than a 2014 C7 Stingray. Many current market comparisons can, and will, be made," says Callaway. Indeed, we'll go ahead and make on. The Callaway Silverado Signature Edition shaves a few tenths of a second from Ram's officially claimed 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds for the 1500 TRX.

Callaway says it will run the quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 113 mph if you take the Callaway Silverado Signature Edition to the drag strip. So, any which way you slice it, the Signature Edition is one fast truck. It also comes with a warranty and can be ordered from and serviced at Chevy dealers.
