It may seem crazy to even try, but when this Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG takes on an Audi R8 V8 with a six-speed manual gearbox, the results take a surprisingly long time before they become clear cut. Pushing its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine for all its worth, the AMG shows the Audi just how far today's cars have advanced over the supercars of a few years ago. And while the end result still tips the scales in favor of the R8, we have to hand it to the CLA for putting up a great fight.
