Get ready for s shock.
All three of these German performance machines have been modified. The BMW M4’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six has received a custom tune, giving it 550 hp; the Audi RS7 has seen its 4.0-liter V8 upped to 700 hp; and the Mercedes C63 AMG is also packing 700 horses from its 6.2-liter V8. When they came head to head on the kilometer-long track, you would assume the BMW would be comprehensively beaten by its Teutonic rivals. But the races are incredibly close.
BMW M4 clocked the quarter mile in 11.882 sec at around 125 mph, the RS7 took 12.095 sec at 121 mph. The M4 maintained the lead to the 1-km mark with a time of 21.1 secs at 160 mph, the Audi was just behind in 21.367 sec at 162 mph. Against the C63 the M4 came unstuck, posting a similar time as before, but the C63 sneaked under 21 secs at 164 mph.
