While driving around a track seems like a lot of fun, another way enthusiasts enjoy their vehicles is to go off-roading. When attempting this pastime, the vehicle of choice is usually a lifted truck with loads of gizmos and special terrain modes. However, XCAR believes that the majority of cars on the road are extremely capable off-roading vehicles that can handle roads of any difficulty. To prove their point, the automotive outlet took a Subaru Crosstrek (XV) around a military testing ground to put the CUV/wagon against some tough terrain.

Besides its all-wheel-drive system, the Crosstrek is out of its element and isn't really made to do any of this stuff, which makes the results even more surprising.
