Only last week did we learn that Chrysler is planning to stuff that mighty supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 into the engine bay of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. That's 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque in 4WD off-roader that'll also find a new home at the drag strip. We love America. Thing is, the Grand Cherokee Hellcat isn't due to arrive until mid-2016 at the earliest. For those who must have one now, that's a long time to wait. Fortunately, we've found something that ought to easily satisfy those anxious customers.
Presenting Geiger's Grand Cherokee aftermarket kit. The German tuning firm, realized there was more power to be had from the SRT Grand Cherokee's 6.4-liter Hemi. With the addition of a 2.9-liter Kompressor and an ECU remap, that 470 hp has been increased to 708 hp and 572 lb-ft of torque. Because of all that extra grunt, Geiger also had to modify the suspension with sport springs and anti-sway bars in order to reduce body roll. 0-62 mph happens in just 3.9 seconds and it has a clocked top speed of 183 mph. Other additions include a foil wrap and 22-inch alloys. The price for all these mods? 23,900 euros, not including the base price of the GC SRT itself.
