Can The Jaguar F-Pace SUV Run Down The Porsche Macan GTS?

Drag Race

One of these SUVs gets beaten pretty damn badly here.

On paper a drag race between the Jaguar F-Pace S and Porsche Macan GTS sounds fair. Here are the relevant specs. The Jag has a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine making 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, with that power sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Macan GTS is down on horsepower but up on torque with 360 hp and 369 lb-ft coming from its 3.0-liter V6. The Porsche features all-wheel drive and its transmission is the brand's iconic seven-speed PDK dual-clutch.

The Macan GTS does outweigh the F-Pace S by over 100 pounds with a curb weight of 4,178 lbs vs. the Jaguar’s 4,015 lbs. But is that enough to take down Porsche’s mighty PDK dual-clutch transmission? We think you already know the answer, but check out this drag race, which starts at the 2:45 mark, anyway.
