Can The Lamborghini Aventador SV Beat The 918 Spyder Around The Track?

Supercar

Who needs a hybrid powertrain?

Lamborghini has always put its best foot forward when it comes to its large, mid-engined, V12-powered supercars. What started out with the gorgeous Miura has transformed into the mind-bending Aventador LP750-4 SV. Thanks to its 6.5-liter V12 engine, the Aventador SV puts out an amazing 741 hp and 508 lb-ft of torque. While the engine is a masterpiece, can the Aventador SV write a new chapter for Lamborghini’s hairy-chested V12 supercars? Motor Trend attempts to find out by putting the supercar through its paces.

There’s no denying the Aventador SV’s abilities on the road, but host Jonny Lieberman believes that the Italian supercar can best the mighty Porsche 918 Spyder around the track. After watching and listening to the Aventador SV, he might have a point.
