On September 24, 2013, Mike Newman broke the world record for the fastest car driven blindfolded, hitting 186.12mph behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT2. Now, Extreme Motorsports wants to break that record, and they are offering anyone over 21 with a valid driver's license the chance to climb into a Ferrari 458 Challenge Race Car, cover their eyes up and hammer it. Participants will be trained by mentor and head coach Pery McCarthy.

Teaching a special military method for driving at night, McCarthy will also join the participants on their record attempts, driving behind them in another Ferrari and maintaining continuous radio contact. The special event will take place at an airfield in York, England. Registration is open to anyone through the Extreme Motorsports website, and a successful attempt will have one lucky participant entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
