These German vs. England battles are nothing new. We're talking in the motoring world of course. We've actually seen a comparison video between Aston Martin and Porsche before, which featured the new and uber-desirable Porsche 911 R and the big man of the Astons, the thunderous V12 Vantage S. This time around, the guys over at PistonHeads pit the automakers against each other again, and now it's the new Aston Martin DB11's turn to face off against the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

The cars are close on paper, but one is more sportscar and the other more GT tourer, yet both are rather desirable and each has it's own good attributes.

The Aston Martin's 600 horsepower comes from a sublime 5.2-liter V12 with a pair of turbochargers in play making it one of the few Aston Martins capable of hitting 62 mph in under 4 seconds. Let's not forget those bold Aston Martin lines that lend to the awesomeness of the DB11. The Porsche 911 Turbo S runs on a 3.8-liter flat six that also has a pair of turbochargers fitted to get the power up to 580 horsepower, good for a faster 0-62 dash of just 2.9-seconds. But how do the cars compare in everyday situations? Owners aren't going to be buying either of these cars to do monster standstill launches all day long; they'll hopefully be driving them properly. Precision driving tool or refined GT car?
