Carbon-Bodied Porsche 911 Turbo S Is The Only One Of Its Kind In America

For Sale / 3 Comments

Just 13 GTR Carbon Editions were made, and this is the only example in the United States.

Modified Porsches aren't to everyone's tastes, especially when they come from TopCar. Now, one such example has come up for sale, with a ludicrous asking price of $699,000. How can this be justified? Well, only 13 GTR Carbon Editions were made by the tuner, and only one of those currently resides in the USA. Not that model is up for grabs.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is a pretty spectacular motorcar. With 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, it's capable of sprinting to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, which means this perfectly usable sports car boasts the acceleration figures of some $1 million hypercars.

The car you see here is not wearing a crazy wrap - this ultra-rare Porsche wears a complete body kit comprised of a four-layer carbon fiber weave made by none other than TopCar.

Offered by Alphamotiv3 of Laguna Beach, California, this unique 911 cost more than three times the original price of a Turbo S; that's a lot of money for a Turbo S, even if it's got a carbon fiber trump card up its sleeve. But when you look at the work that's gone into this creation, the price tag starts to make sense.

As per duPont Registry, the GTR Carbon Edition has also been fitted with a custom Akrapovic exhaust system and a highly customized interior. The already-plush innards have been tossed away and replaced with even more leather and carbon fiber appointments.

Of course, this doesn't come cheap. According to TopCar, the exhaust alone is equivalent to $8,126, while the "advanced interior exclusive options" cost the original buyer a staggering $50,000.

According to the dealership, this 2022 911 has covered a mere 100 miles since new. The gorgeous Burgundy finish only adds to the desirability and lends the Carbon Edition a sophisticated and rich look.

TopCar makes no mention of performance upgrades (aside from the exhaust system), but we're guessing the lightened GTR Carbon Edition is considerably quicker than a stock Turbo S. If, for some reason, you require even more speed, several tuners are on hand to satisfy your needs.

Some people may dismiss the price tag as ridiculous, but monied Porsche enthusiasts will likely duke it out to own such a rare machine. If we had the money, we wouldn't think twice.
