New York-based tuner 7 Design House has released a new aerodynamic body kit for the Maserati MC20 supercar. The mid-engined Italian is already a looker, but the firm has dialed things up to 11 with a stunning carbon fiber kit that lends the MC20 even more flair and purpose.

This isn't just for show; 7 Design House claims the carbon fiber components are 12.5 lbs lighter than the standard Aria body kit previewed last year. The package comprises a front splitter, vent inserts, canards, side skirts, a functional roof scoop, and a rear spoiler and diffuser.

The tuner claims the aero-optimized kit provides more than 199 lbs of downforce at 100 mph. This increases to more than 509 lbs at 160 mph and an incredible 795+ lbs at 200 mph.

"When designing MC20 Aria, our objective was to inject racetrack aero while maintaining pure and elegant design," said CEO Peter Eskander. "Each component of the kit improves performance and aesthetics while staying true to [the] original design DNA.

"Our relentless pursuit of perfection is captured not only in our product's form and function but in the OEM-grade quality we deliver. Utilizing computational fluid dynamics, we developed an aero kit that achieves a 123% increase in aero efficiency," he added.

Just 25 examples will be produced, and the model seen here belongs to Eskander. This vehicle was treated to a one-of-one exposed carbon fiber finish with a blue tint. The great thing about the 7 Design House kit is that it doesn't require any changes to be made to the vehicle. No paintwork, drilling, or cutting is needed.

Optionally, buyers can choose from a Stage 2 exhaust system that not only adds 20 extra horsepower but also saves an additional 15 lbs from the vehicle weight. As a reminder, the MC20 makes use of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 621 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque.

The Maserati hasn't even been on the market for long but, already, several aftermarket companies have released body kits for the MC20. Last year, German company DMC released a GT3-inspired kit, while Mansory also unveiled its outlandish take on what a modified MC20 should look like.

It's great to see body kits that not only look good but are functional too. There's no word on pricing, but we can expect the package will be made available at a hefty cost. But the good looks, coupled with the rarity, will certainly have wealthy MC20 owners pushing the doors down to get their hands on the kit.
