Goodwood is nothing if not a classic setting at which to view the finest motor cars ever built. So it's only fitting that this year's Festival of Speed included its fair share of vintage automobiles. In between the breathtaking concepts, racecars past and present, exotic supercars and celebrity drivers from Stirling Moss to Lewis Hamilton, our photographer on the ground managed to snap some truly historic automobiles climbing the hill in the Earl of March's back yard.

Among the classic machinery on hand for this year's festival were pre-war Mercedes-Benz, early Jaguars and celebrated Alfa Romeos. But the standouts were the always-stunning Ferrari 250 GTO and the vintage Bentley Blower that recently sold for £5 million in the Bonhams auction held at the event.
