Did you guess Porsche? If so, you win! Ferdinand Porsche built the Semper Vivus in 1900, way before the 918 made headlines. The OG hybrid had 4,000 pounds worth of batteries and didn't look much like a car. It was also created some 31 years before Porsche was founded, but that's just a minor technicality.
