Carlex Gives E-Class F1-Inspired Interior

Formula 1

Sorted interior follows an AMG-built twin-turbo V8 engine swap.

After adding an AMG-built 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, installing a set of blacked-out six-spoke alloys to match the hood and roof, and lowering the ride height, the owner of this Mercedes E-Class Coupe took his ride to Carlex Design, demanding an interior inspired by the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Using the same colors as the F1 team’s livery, the Polish tuner restyled the cabin using a combination of perforated Alcantara, black nappa leather and carbon-fiber trim, while the steering wheel comes finished in suede.
