When an eccentrically dressed client asked Carlex Design to make his new Mini's cabin look like an art studio, the Polish interior designer agreed without hesitation. Dubbed the "Painter's works," the project demanded the design team to think outside the box. Rulers and symmetry wasn't required for this particular job, instead the challenge was to consider things such as how to successfully paint Alcantara.

Canvas replaced certain luxury materials, while handstitched and handpainted elements can be found throughout the cabin. Like a giant colorful puzzle, the design was initially created on a 1:1 scale template and then transferred onto Alcantara, one piece at a time. A monumental effort and, we're sure you'll agree, a stunning result.
