Engineers discuss the engine's overhaul, required in order to extract 662hp and 631lb-ft of torque from the 5.8-liter supercharged V8. Shelby is suitably impressed with their efforts, and was doubtless delighted to have seen the fastest and most powerful Mustang of all time come to life before he passed.
